At risk of repeating something that I may have posted before. This argument is the same as the .com vs .net debate and we know how that turned out. There's always going to be someone that gets lucky and makes it work but in general the successes are so few and far between that you are likely to be wasting your time developing a .net.au domain name even with the most popular keywords. I see no value whatsoever in any .net.au domains including the best keyword domain names and it appears that valuation websites such as valuate/estibot etc hold the same view. Shoes.com.au $57000 vs shoes.net.au $120 tells the story.

A 600% return on an investment is still pretty good stick! I know many an investor that would like that return. ;)

As mentioned there's always going to be someone that gets lucky and maybe it was you. I see better chances of success buying a lotto ticket.

its not a 600% return unless you hand reg it, sit on ya bum and do nothing then the phone rings with someone saying i want to buy it NOW and i'll pay the COR.

otherwise its, money that could have been earning interest, time it took to register, time for COR, cost of COR, price negotiation time.

a hand reg then sale under $300 is a loss, i've done a couple but i feel i sent them to good homes :)

as for "valuate" , a domain/house/car has no value until sold.

Well this forum is DNTrade not DNDevelopers or DNHoarders.

ohhhhhhhhhhh, thats a sin bin i think admin :)

dnt has grown over the years and respects all cultures, dnt is the lovely star trek of the domain universe where all are equal.

you can not tell me you have gained nothing from reading developer threads.

nobody is forcing you to read anything.

Well this forum is DNTrade not DNDevelopers or DNHoarders.

Funny, I saw writing under the big logo at the top of the screen that said Australia's Domain Name Community.

My impression was that it implied that this place is about Australian Domain names in general, not just domainers looking to make a few bucks.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome though...

"You really need to get laid or something."

"Thanks for making me feel so welcome though..."

So you can dish it out but can't take it?

You have form. When you don't like what someone has to say you attack them personally.

I'd rather be a smart arse with a sense of humour than a know it all.

Have a great weekend!
