I forget to mention.. did the Supply Register, Ausregistry and auDA who allowed all of the deleted registrations give a refund to the registrants? LOL... They still made a nice profit of every one did they?

This just in from the latest auDA newsletter (bolding is mine):

"Alongside this, we commissioned the same research experts involved in the qualitative interviews — after a three-way pitch — to draft a quantitative survey. Their task was to draft a survey to gather feedback, to best inform the policy drafting process (in part). In writing the survey we requested they encapsulate the feedback we have from both the first stage qualitative research, the Names Panel Policy Panel final report, The Minority Report – developed after the Names Panel Policy and expert advice from our policy team. We believe the result is a clear, easy to follow, sound result from a qualified independent research expert."

David Goldstein blog post http://www.domainpulse.com/2017/05/05/auda-registry-accountability-transparency-questions-linger/
Why is auDA conducting ongoing consultations (the current online survey) regarding second level registrations which appear to only ask opinions on whether they should happen or not?
Interesting perspective.

Also...
Does the auDA CEO consider it appropriate to be seeming to reveal confidential information to some in the industry who, even if off the record, then widely disseminate information to their target group?
What's that about then?

From David's post what does this mean?
David Goldstein blog post http://www.domainpulse.com/2017/05/05/auda-registry-accountability-transparency-questions-linger/
* Disclaimer: the writer was an auDA Board member (2005 to 2007), served on 3 auDA Names Policy Panels (2007, 2010 and 2015), was a client of auDA for 14 years and is now a client of AusRegistry.

How much has he been paid by auDA and Ausregistry over the years? From last year's auDA announcement they cancelled advertising on his blog ...was it appropriate to have ever advertised on it or what is the facts and financial figures around this?.Without any info online or given to members we never hear the full story, get the see the real numbers... I don't know who does?

David does raises some valid points about transparency and accountability... and the now missing once public documents...

Personally I was pleased to read the blog as most of the time I found the Goldstein Report seems to be just cutting and pasting other peoples domain name news from around the world or getting data feeds of it....thats ok of the goal is just a news aggregator.. I do not think that os worthy of auDA advertisng dollars if in fact they ever did pay to be on it for it etc.

Does he have a beef after AUDA's highly inappropriate sponsorship of his blog was pulled?

I post about AUDA here all the time, can I get AUDA sponsorship?

Having said that he raises some good points but it sounds like he is angry about missing an interview.

How much did they pay for 14 years and why....?

I get the strong impression that AUDA does not like dntrade, in my view that is part of the reason why demand side directors from here go MIA whilst supply side directors fairly unconnected to the site have a history of posting about AUDA.

Lets never forget what was said in Cameron Ralph also, and the CEO's responses to each suggestion,

Looks like the annual reports are back on the auda site

Removing the Annual Reports was an outrageous decision in my view because AUDA is required to make financial information available to its members, a lot worse than the decision to remove minutes. I doubt anyone outside of AUDA would have recommended they remove annual reports.

28.1 Accounting and Other Records
The Directors must cause proper accounting and other records to be kept and distribute copies of balance sheets as required by the Corporations Act.
