I am interested in registering a .com.au domain as a sole trader. The domain will relate to web hosting reviews but as it is a review it is not necessarily a direct business though it will be aiming to make a profit, so does this count as a business and therefore be allowable under auda policy?
Here's the reply:
When you register a .com.au domain name you have to provide some “business” information such as an ABN, ACN or an Australian trademark number and warrant that you are eligible for the domain name in some way.
How you go about doing business is not our concern.
