I agree with zhenjie "t-shirts" is one of those words where the hyphen keyword is actually more searched for and more effective then the non hyphen.

I was the under bidder for dogwalking.com.au - in the end I am glad that I didn't win it at that price.
Sorry over bidder :)

Dog walking was surprising. Is it that much of a lucrative industry? Under $2k still not a bad price, but really for the right person/business.

For the site to really work I think it would have to be nation wide (if there is such a thing for this industry), maybe some kind of placement service. For just one dog walker or a small dog walking company I don't see it working.

LOL – you got a love the hysteria in bidding wars.

I'd love to know if some of the other domains today would have reached the prices they did if domains like wines.com.au and films.com.au were not up for auction.

OK then - can you tell me - was today the highest ever. By my count today netted close to $30,000!

Wow indeed.

I thought it had to the potential to get $20,000+, but at $19,000 all I know for certain is that someone will shed a tear when they look through their domain portfolio to realise their gem has expired.

u just need to ring a winery in SA

Awesome domains like these definitely help pull the others up. But the others were still way better than normal anyway. Stange when so many good domains drop on the same day... probably a reason behind it if you go back X Years +31 days (where X is an even number)

It's a huge industry in terms of numbers. But probably dominated by young kids charging $8 hour. If you could aggregate all these thousands of people might create something interesting...

I have a feeling there was another day around the $30K mark some months ago... can't remember the domains at the moment though.

Another old thread

Just nosing around, and I have 2 questions:-

1. Have there been othe $20-$30k DROP days since?
2. Considering the buzz around films.com.au - what do we think of www.movies.com.au?

just my personal opinion:

when you see a thread THAT OLD, i think its best to start a new thread and refer back to it with a link if you want.

just my opinion thats all.

netfleet and drop have historical data on drop pickups just go to their sites, also many threads on here tell you that deals have been done that NEVER see the light of day because of confidentiality agreements

heaps goes on behind the scenes that are never seen.
