coles didn't race out and say they were bringing out "hormone free beef" did they ! it caused a huge stir and a huge free marketing campaign for coles.

Coles didn't start selling milk for $2 and then send their manager in to buy all of the stock so their clients couldn't purchase either.

Why doesn't Netfleet just say: "I'm sorry - we stuffed up - we'll do better next time. We genuinely appreciate your concerns.

I suspect any admission of error, liability, unethical conduct etc might result in a class action by Netfleet's clients.

Under the Competition and Consumer Act s18 'Misleading & Deceptive Conduct' (previously a provision of the Trade Practices Act) - A person must not, in trade or commerce, engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or is likely to mislead or deceive.

Would be interesting to apply that definition to the conduct of Netfleet's officeholders and see if it applies to this situation.
