thank you, but it also goes to show an intelligent domain name investor who realised the value of a name like this to begin with, then held onto it for years until the right time came to sell for the best return

In all seriousness, they hit the jackpot with having the name someone wanted at any cost.
It's not like it was that good a domain that it was hotly contested. Just a name that blind freddy could sell to that end user that wanted it. Yes you did awesome to push for such a price, but had FetchTV not been rebranding it would be worth about the $25 rego fee.

I don't agree with you. First off, as mentioned, there were others interested. The name would never have sold for less than mid five-figures with anyone in control other than "Blind Freddy". Simply a matter of time with a name like that and the right broker or domainer in control of it. I don't think the price is that awesome, either. They got the name for a great price. It is such a good fit for them that I believe they will make ten times what they paid, in part, due to the power of their new awesome name. It's about time more corporations and business owners began realising this.
Having a super-cool name isn't cheap. It's prestigious. Prestige costs money.
Businesses can bumble along on the internet with a Hyundai Getz domain name, or they can buy a Ferrari. Fetch was and is a Ferrari name. So is Tuxedo.com.au - the name I purchased today.
Ever wondered why people stop to stare and eyeball a Ferrari as it drives down the road, but don't lose a step when a Getz drives by? Prestige. I am at least one of the new-breed domainers preaching this to Australian business owners, every day.
