Coincidence or real market impact resulting from auDA Management.
It has absolutely nothing to do with auDA.

It was actually due to their ASX announcements on 13/02 and 22/02 where they said their earnings would be down. They claimed it was due to the market being soft, but it's a simple case of GoDaddy taking their market share (which the scorecards prove).

The softness is being blamed specifically on the Australian market. .au is now “no growth” or close to. Prior .au scorecard data shows that.

VENTRAIP ANNOUNCEMENTS:

VentraIP Australia Chief Executive Officer, Angelo Giuffrida, said the acquisitions were signs of continued market consolidation.

The Market is Flat and in consolidation because auDA has created these circumstances, [deliberately engineered or resulting from blind stupidity] the little guy just cant get the booking to survive [lack of promotion and grassroots support] and the bigger boys have a field day. Normal, always occurs prior to the release of a new industry product - Direct registrations. And why wouldn't GoDaddy want some direct registration action, they smell it a mile off.

According to Dreamscape Networks (ASX-DN8) the .au Market is Flat.
... and just like that, they've had a reverse in fortunes and are now seeing growth in both the domains and hosting market.

Domain Growth is steady in a Matured market. Domain Growth supported by acquisitions - 30th June presentation ASX
i.e. buy out your competitor if you want domain growth - its not growing organically

Acquisition of Domain Name Registrar DNR is a business principally focused on domain registration (0.9% .au market share) and web hosting, with approximately 80% of their business coming from domain registration and 20% from hosting.
