"Web Address Registration" aka Crazy Domains is a Supply Class Member.
Oh No, Pandora's box is opened...
"Web Address Registration" aka Crazy Domains is a Supply Class Member.
I have been a member for over 15 years, voted at the AGM every year, gone through all the generic and geographic auctions etc etc and still have no communication from them as a MEMBER of auda (one of 200). It sucks. And it has gotten worse in the last 6 months. What happened to build membership base, transparency, communication. It sucks
This information was once upon a time contained in the auDA Minutes. Unfortunately, under the new "secret society" regime, these have all been taken down. However, if you have a look at this "information for prospective candidates" (from auDA), it says;Yes I appreciate that, but I'd still like to know how much they get payed.
I was told by auDA membership was open.
I lodged an official complaint the demand side has been stacked by supply related parties and the whole membership process is flawed. Their response was they are looking at it.....
auDA knows the supply side has stacked the demand side also and this sways any votes for policy, board etc in the favour of supply... Yet they auDA have done nothing..Why? because Supply runs auDA and Supply runs the auDA Board.
I have been told many of the Supply members " demand" votes went to Simon ( Demand auDA Board Member). Simon is this why you backflipped on wholesale registry tender and the proposed competing additional .au extension? Did you get those Supply "demand" votes or is this rumour not correct? Certainly we have not seen any engagement from you on Dntrade.com.au or Domainer or even candidate statements last election... with the supply demand member numbers perhaps you didnt need to do much for real demand member votes?

Fees and expenses
The auDA Board meets six times a year, usually in Melbourne. Elected Directors receive a sitting fee per meeting attended (in person or by teleconference), in addition to reimbursement of travel expenses.
I believe the "sitting fee" is now around $1100 (but I might be wrong). I can't see any reason why either Erhan @Cooper Mills DomainLawyer or Tim @findtim shouldn't be able to disclose this.
Update on the Registry Transformation Project
Appointment of Dr Bruce Tonkin
We’re therefore delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Bruce Tonkin to the auDA team, as the Registry Transformation Project Lead.
Dr Tonkin was most recently Chief Strategy Officer for Melbourne IT Limited. He was involved in the founding of auDA, and has been a regular participant in the Competition and Names Policy Advisory Panels since formation. He has also served nine years on the Board of ICANN (Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers).
Registry Transformation Project
The Registry Transformation Project team will be assisted by an Industry-led Advisory Panel, in addition to a Registrar Liaison Board.
Got my "first and last invoice" for this year's membership, such a way with words, think I might pass

You guys are talking about a fight I am not really in, I am well aware of their tactics but when it comes down to it I am not really a .com.au domainer so my attention is going elsewhere
That's a good find Sean; the things that occupy your time!Interesting to see what auDA Director Joe Manariti''s company Swim Communications wrote about the now fellow auDA Board Member company Crazy Domains....
