This domain sold recently for $XX,xxx today I noticed it on the drop list - client requested policy delete.

You would still think DigitalBTC could use this name but maybe they have something else in mind like their own currency.

Some very interesting reading on the previous owner on one of the Bitcoin forums.

Not sure about the "recent sale for $xx,xxx" James?

According to the forum he has owned the domain since at least 2012?

So the domain never actually sold earlier this year?

It is still in Hollis' name but with Tsvetnenko as tech contact?

There's a great story behind this somewhere .......

Search for Tsvetnenko on BRW.

This could be a big payday for Netfleet or DROP

Well any sympathy for Tsvetnenko just went out the window as soon as I read he was responsible for those horrid automated SMS billing scams from a decade ago.

This is a really poor practice to be deleting names like this (regardless of the reason), I think it would have the effect of sapping confidence from the market.

I wonder if someone here did the complaining?

Well someone complained - that's for sure. Otherwise auDA wouldn't have acted. Pretty piss poor to do that.

Obviously COR wasn't properly done originally, and Hollis's ABN was cancelled from 23 Aug 2013. There is a lesson there.

With regards your first sentence, I'm sure Netfleet wouldn't agree with you. ;)

Yeah I do feel sorry for the Domain holder to loose the domain like this.

I think AUDA should have got in contact with him given the significant investment in the domain in the first place.
