good domain, I think I got my first one in 1978 !!! so its not going away, huge following and soooooo many different types now, brandable just by its nature, well worth whatever the "right" person wants to pay for it.

the numbers work out for me IF I was an end user, so I won't be bidding.

good luck and I think its worth whatever it goes for, if you are bidding this will only ever come tomorrow so give it your best.

Awesome name but word is that skateboarding is on a steep decline.

"Levels of interest in skateboarding have declined, both globally and within its five national strongholds. This is according to a recent report on the relative popularity of skateboarding as a Google search term. In the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom search activity relating to skateboarding has decreased dramatically, virtually year-on-year since 2004. The decline was steepest in the U.K. and Canada, where interest in January 2013 was less than one tenth of what it was in January 2004. In the USA, January 2013 saw search interest in skateboarding that was approximately one seventh of January 2004’s, whilst the sport’s popularity has decreased by 87% in Australia since the same date."

I actually have recently walked past a company called brakeboard where your heel activates a brake system on the back of the board, however they use a .com for world branding. Plenty of skatey's around st kilda way

I agree - plenty around Sydney, too and lots of skate parks going up. You wouldn't need to sell that many boards @ $150+ a pop to earn a good return, and an online store without bricks and mortar costs could certainly be viable (there are already a few).

skate dot com dot au is also attracting interest in the catalogue
