Metrics on Netfleet

Hi All

Good old Google have just recently forced an upgrade to their Adwords API, and we can no longer provide local phrase search volumes. No explanation given I'm afraid.

Would be interested in peoples thoughts on what sort of additional metrics we could provide that would help you value a domain and save you a bit of time?

Cheers

Mark,

Google guard that API now like never before. I know of may domainers and SME's who have been shot by Google when it comes to API access without explanation (including me several times) so give up on that path. You could consider Wordtracker.com for example.

Cheers,

David

Well, we are paying for the service so they are generally ok for us to query. local Exact search is still fine, they just decided to remove Phrase.

I'll check out Wordtracker.com - I think I've used that before but need a refresher....thanks for the tip David

Seeing some strange metrics.

Some domains seem to be correct (like ghosts @ 3600 exacts). However some seem to be way out, for example:

androidtablet.net.au is showing 49500 exacts on Netfleet. But if I check in Adwords it is showing only 6600 exacts..?

Just noticed something similar myself. Saw one or two with highly inflated exact counts.

Thanks for the heads up. When testing it was showing correct results but must have been a coincidence.

Looks like Google are including the Google Search Network now via the API.

Is there an emoticon for grabbing a computer and throwing it out of the window ideally on to a Google employees head??

Google have said

"We understand this change may have caused confusion for some customers and we plan to include an option to choose which networks to account for in future API versions."

In meantime, will look for a interim solution guys...apologies for this

Cheers
