Personally I don't like domain hacks, mainly because they bleed traffic to .com and in this case probably .com.au too.

Many consumers mistype domain hacks, and they often add in '.com' or '.com.au' because they're unaware that '.ly' is the extension. This makes branding a nightmare, you have to do things like emphasise the dot so that people are more likely to realise that it is '.ly' not '.com' or '.com.au'.

Successful businesses that have built their brand on domain hacks will often chase the .com once they have the funds to buy.

For the reasons above my valuation is: reg fee - $100.

+1 , i'm not a fan of hacks and i think successful ones are as rare as australian olympic gold medals compared to successful .com au's

"radio test" almost always wins for me.

very busy , trying to get the baby boomers money ! if you want that go in to selling winnebago's

thats why petinsurance is a great investment, the baby boomer kids have left home so they get a dog, but the dog is only going to last @ 10years so insure it ! so you can then get the next dog as baby boomers are going to live till 100 years so maybe thats @ another 3 dogs ( as their mantra is to not give you money until they are dead and by the time they are dead you no longer need the money! ..... i think i read the wrong books )
