Do Aftermarket Sellers Ever Disappear After Sale?

Bought a domain on the Netfleet Aftermarket a couple of days before Christmas and we are still yet to hear from the seller.

The NetFleet team are still trying to get a response from him, but I was just wondering if anyone has won an Aftermarket Auction and the seller disappeared or decided they didn't want to sell it anymore?

I was pretty excited about the purchase, but now worried I'm not going to end up with it.

I can confirm that so far (247 COMPLETED sales using the new process) yours is the only one where we are waiting for the seller on step one of the process. I am still hopeful that the seller will respond soon.

We have had one sale fall through which was mutually agreed to by the parties, and we have had two sales where parties chose to attempt to complete the sale on their own, as the seller seemed to be in a hurry and the parties knew one another.

That is a really good track record :)

Not overly worried because it has been the Christmas/New Year break, just wanted to see if it was a common thing or not. Good to hear it is not.

I think Netfleet's new system is excellent.

There have been some issues in the past, but NF weren't in control of the process like they are now.

Ultimately, if someone doesn't settle, they are only shi*ing in their own nest. No one wants that sort of reputation. ;)

But when they listed it they knew exactly when the auction would end, or at least you would assume so.

That is the other thought running through my head. Oh well, hopefully they decide to log back into their NF account and check.

Yes, aus11. I sold, buyer disappeared. I had to pay Netfleet's commission

Hi Onedot,

Was this from our old aftermarket auction format? We have no record of any fall overs from our new AMA, other than the couple Anthony mentioned?

Please contact support with details and will look in to straight away

Thanks
Mark

Just a thought: this figure should really be advertised on the site. Shouldn't it?

Kind of like a ebay feedback rating for NetFleet.

I'm thinking more of an "on time %" just like virgin and jetstar, that could be a good stat to present to potential buyers ans sellers.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on this Aftermarket domain purchase.

After several voicemail messages went unresponded, Anthony (from Netfleet) managed to track the domain owner down by another means and I am happy to say the domain is now in my possession.

The support I received from NetFleet was fantastic, so just wanted to say a big thanks to them.
