I am on a hand reg mission at the minute:

Reg'd the above along with:

c-v.com.au
moneypool.com.au
surfingmagazine.com.au
surfmovies.com.au
surfingmovies.com.au

Any POSITIVE thoughts or advice as to which ones may be better to develop/minisite etc?

Your domains are good but they will take a bit of development work in order to make them profitable. The names and niches you have chosen are not all that obviously lucrative up front.

Don't go crazy registering so many names like these. They are domains that are worth more developed then the actual names are. In other words, the ROI will be low so dont overload your portfolio with average names.

I disagree actually. I think these are some really well chosen hand reg domains. I think if you grab a few like these day in day out, in a few months you'll have a solid portfolio - so go crazy!

Remember a domain doesn't have to be good enough to justify development to be worth registering - there is an inbetween area. And if domain values continue to grow, in a year or two they may then become worthwhile to develop.

The vast majority of our 3000+ au domains are undeveloped and deliver a healthy return through parking and sales.

But make sure you do park them all and, as Andrew always says, make sure they have a 'This domain may be for sale' on them.

Frustrates me why so many Australian domainers don't monetise their sites. I know a few cents here or there doesn't sound like much but it may only take 2-3 lousy clicks a month to make a domain cash positive. 1 lousy click and your effective registration fee drops to $10/2 years.

Also it protects you from breaching auDA policy. Registering domains and doing nothing with them is against the rules. Parking them is legitimate (albeit with a few extra discriminatory conditions)

Interesting domains I don't mind Sales Professionals...

Others are cool but Surfing is not really my niche =)

I agree with DavidL if you can make the money off the domains it is 100% worth it,

I will have to show every one here a development spread sheet I have been working on in excel which shows domain development and many other cool factors for each year...

Thanks so much for the positive feedback...gave me a bit of get up and go!

I thought they were ok as well and had potential to be developed in some way.

I'm from a mad surfing family hence the interest in the surfing domains.

James, love to see the spread sheet if you wish to share.

Agree. It is easy to rack a large credit card bill from registering names and very difficult to make a profit from doing so.

My suggestion would be to wait until money spent has been recouped before registering more.
