Just registered realestatewa.net.au. I think it has some potential - what's your opinion?

Thanks.

Personally real estate is toooooo competitive, but you might find a local end-user. Would take some selling and work to get ranking :)

I don't think so? ATMOSS didn't seem to turn anything up. I realise there is a website on the .com.au variant but I think the term is quite generic?

Maybe I should have gone for realestateinwa/net/au

I plan to develop it using google real estate and direct traffic to my other real estate site I will be developing at showandsell/com/au. I hope to use these to build leads for agents. Hopefully that is seen as legitimate use.

Cheers.

On another note, I notice your two links in your sig are advertising your services as SEO and SM specialist... I stumbled across a 6 letter CVVCCV .me and .net.au that you might like.

PM me if you want to know or I can just blurt it out here.

You would think real estate.com.au is a generic term, yet due to stupid AU laws if you have a miss spelling of it or buy a similar name they will take it...

I just noticed their was a magazine with that name hence why I thought they may have tried to trademark it.

You should be absolutely fine with that. It really is generic and has a great search volume (9,900 exacts). Nice hand reg.

Yep - ridiculous.

Misspell the generic word Real Estate and it's deleted.
Misspell the generic word Cars and you're fine.

How big does a site using a generic name have to get to get this sort of treatment? How do you measure this 'size'?

These are examples of the questions that can't be definitively answered regarding this policy and why it should be scrapped. Let the lawyers with their expertise & resources make the judgements rather than a couple of (well-meaning) people in auDA paid for by our registration fees.

Yet Misspell "Car Sales" and you are not fine ;)
