I don't think so? ATMOSS didn't seem to turn anything up. I realise there is a website on the .com.au variant but I think the term is quite generic?
Maybe I should have gone for realestateinwa/net/au
I plan to develop it using google real estate and direct traffic to my other real estate site I will be developing at showandsell/com/au. I hope to use these to build leads for agents. Hopefully that is seen as legitimate use.
Cheers.
You should be absolutely fine with that. It really is generic and has a great search volume (9,900 exacts). Nice hand reg.
You would think real estate.com.au is a generic term, yet due to stupid AU laws if you have a miss spelling of it or buy a similar name they will take it....
Yep - ridiculous.
Misspell the generic word Real Estate and it's deleted.
Misspell the generic word Cars and you're fine.
How big does a site using a generic name have to get to get this sort of treatment? How do you measure this 'size'?
These are examples of the questions that can't be definitively answered regarding this policy and why it should be scrapped. Let the lawyers with their expertise & resources make the judgements rather than a couple of (well-meaning) people in auDA paid for by our registration fees.
