I'm not sure, to be honest. I'm hesitant about sending out emails to people who don't know me, because I figure that will put off a lot of people and the email will probably just get deleted. One idea is to somehow find out the name of the person I need to contact and send them a personalised letter, and then make a follow-up phone call to them.
