5.

As an esoteric name for a bank or a lender I don't believe it's of high value.

Names that target the problem and or solution, that people actually search for, are where the money is:

Keywords/Exacts
"how much can I borrow"/12,100
"home loan calculator"/33,100
"home loan"/4,400
"bank"/5,400
"credit facility"/46

Also is it a brand-able name? No.

Find the exacts at the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

Thank You. I get your point. Some of the below sales inspired me to get CreditFacility.com.au

credit.com.au - $18,190
creditcards.net.au - $22,002
creditreport.com.au - $27,500

But yes what you saying makes sense too. I guess Credit Facility is a term that business uses more rather than individuals and it is more related to business banking.

The name actually sounds okay to me, but having worked in banking for many years the term is probably far more 'normal sounding' to me than it might be to others.

On your scale I'd probably rate it a 4, but to the right end user maybe it's a 2...?

PS. I have to agree with the others on the name change. :)

Thank You John. I can't believe I can be so humble & modest at times - anyways guys let us all discuss domain names instead of targeting personal comments.

I guess we all learn every day and no1 is domain name super master to downgrade others.

I will be listing CreditFacility.com.au for sale in near future - let us see how much it fetches.

Thank You all of you for your honest & upfront opinion. It has helped me a lot.

Thank You :)

CreditFacility = Low competition, and 46 Exacts

compared to

CreditReport = high competition and 1500 Exacts - Sold for $27,000

if Credit Report is 32 times the exact search volume [46 divided by 1500] then simply divide 32 by $27,000 = $800 approx - now given the 2 domains are not comparable in volume and competition divide the price by 2 why? credit report has high comp compared to your domain name with low comp [Medium and High]. $800 divide by 2 = $400

Therefore, consider your target market? the key word is low comp because it simply isn't competitive. its not "brandable" and the term "Merchant Facility" is more commonly used - High comp and 3 x the exacts [and like its cousin isn't really attractive]

all this translates to an approx valuation of no more than $100 - $150

Now, considering this type of valuation is based only on one domain name using only one metric, its not taking into account the entire niche market for this product/service but, it might give you some deeper domain valuation insight.

Very interesting way to value a domain name.

You approach to rate this domain is very systemic & educated based on other domain name sold.

Thank You for your comment.

If any of you have other domain they would like rated please list them here.

If not, my next input will be to rate DineOut.com.au

Something with low competition is going to very very hard to monetize. Even a name with medium competition is a pretty big call. It isn't just "half as good" as something with high competition. No advertiser can monetize "credit facility" at the moment so what is the chance of a domain owner being able to do it? Even the big banks aren't on it.

To put this another way here is the competition scores,

Keyword Competition
[credit report] 0.92
[credit cards] 0.98
[credit] 0.57
[credit facility] 0.11

So credit report is in the top 8% of keywords in terms of competition, credit facility is in the bottom 11%.

What is 0.11 comparable to? Here is two examples I tried, (the first two junky, hard to monetize sounding keywords that came into my head)

[recipes] 0.36
[skip school] 0.05.

The other issue is holding costs, if a "formula" comes to the conclusion that a name is worth $100 without including reg fees it is probably worth near nothing with reg fees.

Note that is term does not have the same meaning as "merchant facility". It is a very corporate/academic type word, not really a consumer/small business type word. In other words it is not a "product" that someone is going to be searching online for in the main.

Tough one to cut your teeth on domainexpert. However, you can learn a lot in this forum from listening to others who know.

Some takeaways that I have picked up here... a lot of domain prices can be inflated prior to sale, depending on the vendor. I would check how much the domains actually sell for, when to do eventually sell, and check the available data on them.

Also perhaps if you have just recently hand registered CreditFacility.com.au, then it may need some domain age prior to selling. People will be checking the available data and info for the domain prior to spending money on the purchase.

Exact matches are a really good indicator of the domain name value. So EMDs are where you will find some gold.

Check out this resource: https://www.dntrade.com.au/how-to-value-a-domain-name.php

Good luck and let us know how much you do get...

Domains are worth what people are prepared to pay for them.
There could be a few thousand searches for this term per month, so you might get a few hundred dollars from someone half interested, but maybe more from someone who is really interested.

It might be worth more if you develop it, but you would need to invest time and money into it, and that's an expense you need to recover.
