Helloworld's post just now reminded me of a simple spreadsheet I put together to try and 'put a price on organic ranking'
How much do you save annually by ranking at a given position for a given number of searches rather than having to pay a given CPC through Adwords.
Using the organic CTR figures from DejanSEO.
For example a term with 1400 exacts, CPC of $1.20, ranking just 7th still 'saves' you over $2K pa compared with spending on Adwords.
Obviously, as far as domains goes, if you can try and quantify the benefits of a domain to achieving that ranking, you can then start to attribute a dollar value to domains too (as a pure SEO play)
I can't attached spreadsheet here but LMK if you want it
