You may have noticed that my alter ego "neddy" publishes "hidden content" posts in the marketplace sometimes.

I do this for a couple of reasons:

• We have a lot of lurkers, and I want to encourage people to either log in - or join if they are not a member.
  
  
• Privacy - sometimes you just don't want the search engines and the public knowing what you are selling and for how much. When it is "hidden content", it does not get indexed.

You can still generate enquiries from non-members by having your email address outside of the hidden content.

This facility is available to all members - but at this stage strictly for the "marketplace".

For those of you that may be interested, please PM me and I'll send you the tags.

Excellent! Thanks for the feedback.

I first used the feature when advertising the "moneybuddy" site. Had a few signs ups due to that; plus plenty more people logging in rather than lurking.

But because I also put my email address in outside the "hidden content", I received quite a few emails as well. So it was win / win.
