i wonder if anyone is considering the low population when buying up these names, to me there are only about a hundred keyword domains worth the trouble , of course just my opinion
as the old saying goes, last one out "turn the light off"
Just picked up my 1st .nz using the drop services.
Uncontested lol, so not as great a "Win" as could have been.
found some more... nevermind.
Lastly for those getting into it, Oversee/E-Promote and http://Adnet.co.nz and a few others are notorious for letting domains get within 24 hours of expiry ... and then renewing it. I've become used to seeing the same domains nearing 'expiry' year after year and don't even bother bidding on domains of theirs about to drop.
Yeah what's all that about? Why does this happen so much... they seem to be expired for weeks and then suddenly get renewed?
Also lots of these seem to get really high bids on expireddomains.co.nz before being renewed - FamilyDoctors.co.nz and Maggie.co.nz both had bids around $5K before they were renewed yesterday.
I would wager (I have zero proof on this) that they do this to see the valuation of the domain. It is a free way of getting a "solid offer" without having to ever say yes or no.
