2 of us are going to adelaide and back in 1 day so i was grabbing the best price.

we fly jetstar to adelaide, and they charged me $17 ! "booking and service fee" because i paid by credit card, ummm how else can you pay ! daaa

flying back with virgin, no extra fees , they have a system thats called "poli" and its weird but it takes you to your online bank and gets you to sign in then fills out the "pay anyone" boxes for you and you just confirm the transfer. Brilliant.

otherwise virgin would have charged me $17 as well.

thanks, i didn't see "poli" on the jetstar website........... i was to busy unticking the boxes for all the add-ons that they automatically tick for you.

i'll be using poli in future.

Personally don't use Jetstar, have always gone with Virgin Australia in recent times. Last time with Jetstar I had a meeting in Brisbane and they delayed the flight something like 4 hours.

But nice find regardless these credit card charges are getting out of hand.

Unfortunately some of the advertising can be misleading, where they have a cheap headline rate, which doesn't include luggage or credit card / booking fees.

I don't like Jet Star simply because of the fact that they don't use aero-bridges, so you have to walk across the tarmac in the rain and take in the smell of AVGas. I also find that once you add luggage etc it isn't that much cheaper than Qantas sometimes (except their international legs which are very cheap). I prefer Qantas, at least you get a meal, can use the lounge and earn points.
