I think it's a great idea, especially for someone like me who just has their car sitting out the front of my house most of the day, it gives me the option to rent it out or alternatively ditch it all together.

That said it will probably be better for people in the city, it might be hard to coordinate in the suburbs.

Of course its success will completely depend on getting a critical mass of people to sign up.

Sounds like a good idea though as you've said above you need enough people to sign up for it to work
