How long from expire to drop?

As an example, say a domain expires on 1st August, how many days until we see it drop?

My money's on 30 days plus 1 = 1 September

The day it drops actually depends on the Time of the day the domain was registered, so it could be 1 Sep or 2 Sep

There is a time cut off in the middle of the day which will push the purge date out, as the rule is that you need to give the owner the full years worth of registration and not cut it short even by a few hours.
