We even won the fight 
It was a great match and very entertaining but sadly, losing a man from each side changed the whole dynamics. At that stage i expected the Storm to kill us, i considered them way faster than our team of big, bulky guys.
A good victory that i think would have meant much more if it was 13 vs 13.

Haha, big Georgie Rose was huffing and puffing a lot when you were down to a 1 man bench! I thought Slater would tear you up the middle in the last 20 with the big men tired, but the absence of Cronk hurts his danger through the middle.
Glen Stewart will be gone for a while. Brett injured, wolfman injured...this always happens to Manly leading into the finals!

Match of the weekend will be Manly beating the Broncos on Sunday, up in QLD

Broncos beat Manly 18 - 10, it was essentially a nothing match because it couldnt affect how the teams finished on the ladder.
Eagles should be very proud, a great effort. The Broncos....they should be worried at not being able to smash what was a hugely depleted Eagles side.
Perhaps we've got a better chance at the Finals than i expected.

Snooks my old cockroach - were you watching the same match as me?
Broncos were cruising, then took their foot off the pedal at the start of the second half. Gave Manly a sniff (just to get them excited), and then when required, the mighty Queenslanders just shut them down.
The scoreboard does the talking.

I'm yet to meet a Cockroach who isn't one-eyed. At least you haven't let your side down ...........
I was interested to see the stats between our two clubs - Broncos just have the edge in the head to head over the years. That, combined with our win today, is good enough for me.
Having given you a bit of stick today Snooks, I have to say that I do have a soft spot for Manly. Going back quite a while, Bob Fulton was a hero of mine. In latter days, Steve Menzies was a great player and team man. Hasler is a good coach.

Very sad to see the mighty dragons go down last night! Luckily Broncos won, so now we want Manly to win! Otherwise we have to wait till tomorrow....
I must say; regardless of my bias, the refereeing last night was apalling. That first video decision, disgusting. It may have brushed his ankle, but that does NOT constitute a kick in common sense law.

Would almost be worth tossing the game against Nth Qld to see the Saints go out and to make sure we have Glen Stewart back nice and fit for the GF

Manly piled the points on in the second half and gave the Townsville boys a bit of a footy lesson.
But how were those Broncos! With suspensions and injuries, they flattened the Warriors. I think you said last week that the Broncos would be goners ......
Poor old West Coast Eagles went down to the Magpies today - but they certainly live to fight another day.

Big match today - Carlton v Essendon. I know of a couple of people on DNT who will be very unhappy if the Blues get done. The calls will be going out to "bring back Fev"! Ha ha .......
And in the Rugby World Cup, the Wallabies take on the Italians (Azzurri). Sorry in advance Italian Dragon - you guys are going down!
Poms were lucky against the Argies; and the Japanese team nearly caused a boil over against France.
As for the All Blacks - well all I can say is "choke time" is approaching.
