Rods2Riches
rodstworiches
rodstooriches

and don't forget the .nets and the gTLDs

but then again once you do your radio advertising people might type in ROAD2riches so you'll have to do them as well.

as well as ROADS2riches plus all those other extensions so i think @ 50 different domains should cover your marketing strategy.

On a positive note i got to met the guy who is going to register Lindt and sell it to the chocolate company, i tend to think it should have been him buying the drinks !!!

Thanks to all sponsors !!

It may be worth noting I don't think this guy knew what was happening in Sydney when he made that comment

it was great to catch up with many of you at DNT xmas drinks and also at the auDA Drinks!

A bit disappointing that more DnTraders weren't there - a few to many randoms for my liking...

Someone else mentioned there was a "Learn Domaining for $700" course on and it sounds like the event might have been their field trip. I think that is why there was so many randoms and people who seemed to know near nothing about domains.

I guess it could be restricted in some way, dntrade members, people specifically invited by the sponsors etc.

The disappointing thing is that many new folk were told if they join the forum they would get some cool info and no "pot of gold" talk, going by the number of them that have joined up .... it seems pot of gold talk is more to their liking, which is a pity (for them) I kinda lost time chatting to these folk and would have liked to converse with other people i normally catch with or should know. As usual many thanks to sponsors !!

yeh, it was a bit odd, but i do think from the people i talked to they will join the dnt community and i think they will end up contributing with some new ideas, i found everyone NEW i talked to were very keen and i just hope they don't become lurkers but become participants.

my experience from dnt is " giving = getting "

I think the typical person who would go to a "money making" course is the type who goes from one thing to another, looking for a trendy and supposedly easy way to make a lot of money.

I don't know that those attending really have much interest in domains. Now if you told them you had a forum where you can make millions from bitcoin, they would be at that forum like a rocket.

Re the price difference $3500 versus $700, I have a feeling there is a couple of courses doing the rounds.

we have stolen the thread but i see its in context.

yep you are probably right snoopy, i think this is a major concern, and maybe something auda could look into as it could have ramifications for them down the track eg: heaps of PD's, heaps of complaints, heaps of MS's

IMO , are we on a new rollercoaster ? i started in 2001 and there were rules and slowly the rules dropped BUTTTTTTTT the industry mostly was playing by the rules, we then started to gain uphill traction and hit a high of "almost everyone was playing the same game " but recently we seem to be heading downhill, not downhill in a positive way but more like BAD.

neds popular " goodies baddies " thread on recent domain registrations is a typical example of what is happening and needs to stop.

IMO, to really speak our minds this needs to be in VIP as i know i am holding back on my comments.
