btw: the Billboard didn't even list Ventraip's domain but told people to do a google search instead for them. Talk about having no faith in your own product.

That's probably the auDA marketing slush fund in action.
Pretty moronic when they are promoting .au and recognise the confusion they are promoting (is their URL at .com.au, .com or .au) so ask people to search for them via google.

And auDA is giving them money to do this. It's a farce.

I particularly enjoyed the letter from Suze saying public consultation will consist of amongst other things "public forums in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra."

C'mon auDA bring out the bus and and do a roadshow! The rest of Australia also has the interwebs ffs.

I've just received the following email from my friend auDA.

"Hi Bacon,
We are considering whether to host a workshop in Brisbane, and would like to know if you might attend.
If you might attend, please let us know by sending a message to membership@auda.org.au
Regards,
auDA"

If you are in Brissie or another city, send them a message.

I see the "workshop" is also held online, so why bother with town hall meetings? Its only going to be a one sided discussion.

Hey I got the email , but they have never listened before so why bother?

Especially after seeing the stupendous tangent the PRP went down - even the new rules are wired, for example: why is org, asn, id, not allowed to monetise their domains, and why is leasing a domain only limited to related corporate bodies? It's over complicated nonsense.

I have lost any faith in auDA, they are corrupt in process and actions, they don't represent the interests of their stakeholders and they have squandered the last several years which should have been a high growth period for investing in online enterprises. The anti-domainer zealots have no place in auDA, that's not impartial and breaches their responsibilities - that's like employing an anti-vax zealot to run a hospital.
