Page load times is definitely something we've worked very hard on actually. We never imagined we'd get close to 200 deals per day in single city, its just been crazy the amount of new sites and deals out there.

You could do ajax (might be javascript) loading in some form (how FB only loads up to a certain point on a wall or whatever and then when you scroll down that far it loads the next block)
