Depends on your budget - I have had some sites built for chicken feed through freelancer / others I have spent the money to have turnkey style - Others just for fun I have built myself

For a domain name like compare interest rates I would put some coin into it as the financial sector ad revenue is a key sector

Do some research into cpc on the finance sector and do a cost ben analysis for your site - You will still need a significant seo push as its a tough market however if your serious you will get there .....eventually
