i had to explain the other day to a NON client why their domain name got purchased by someone else on drops.
it really doesn't matter who purchased it but they contacted me confused, so explained the process and am interested in other thoughts on this.
first i said " bugger", next " yep you are screwed its gone "
luckily it wasn't their WORKING domain, it was one the guy looking after them registered but never did anything with and then disappeared and thus it dropped.
my end reply to them was
"the person to blame is the holder of the email address the renewal warning went to."
i thought it was a good response.
