i use to live in brissie, one day i was driving home and i saw the weirdest cloud i have ever seen, it look to be only @ 3 storeys above the ground, there was a petrol station and i drove in parked my car at the entrance under cover blocking the door !
up there the clouds turn green, thats when you know you are in trouble.
the girl came out and said " you can't do that" , i said " just wait a minute" next thing 15 cars are alltrying to get under cover of the petrol staion and the ones outside are beeping their horns.
it lasted 5 minutes it was like being under a waterfall with rocks in the water, smashed car windows and peppered panels, absolute rightoffs.
it took me 2 hours to get home and that was just 5klms away, their were overturned trucks blocking road because the wind blew them over.
i got very lucky that day as i was driving a flimsy vinyl 80's convertable vw beetle so i would have been totally hacked.
we had hail here the other day in berwick, it was like frozen peas LOL
