I read this article about "RedBalloon" the other day, and thought it definitely worth sharing.

I do remember the early years of "RedBalloon" (ten years ago) - it was one person's dream that started slowly and built to what it is today. Amazing.

This to me is the epitomy of affiliate marketing and daily deals all wrapped into one.

great business, has serious scaleability. i have found myself alot of these businesses get hit wiht scaleabality. look at groupon as an eg, they gotta keep hiring more sales ppl to get more deals.... scaleabality is coming a big issue for many websites.
