I love when people say "oh it's just a tax write off".

I got a few good tax write offs if anyone wants them.

Shit, I'll even do you a solid and up the prices on them a bit so you can write more off on tax. How's that sound?

It's still a cost which has to be met out of cash flow, and even if you did "write off" the full amount you're only getting a deduction of 30% (the corporate tax rate), which in this case is $6k. So the business is still out of pocket by at least $14k.

Yeah agree, in the end of the day this is a costly lesson for them. I noticed it was the CTO who made the mistake from the prior who is data. could have cost $20-50 to renew instead has cost 20k+ as lesson for all business.
