Bought These Private Sale - I always second guess my choices

I usually do too - except for FinancialMarket.com.au of course

It is definitely a problem, any domain that is a bit hard to spell will put buyers off. It needs to really work as a brand name.

But yes. I agree with your statements.

I've started bidding on expiring domains and not spending bottom dollar anymore. I've learnt from my experiences that hand reg domains of worth are a tad bit harder to find.

We have many clients in the Courses/Education space and -
"financial courses" is probably not the right keyword to target many people are more so after "Finance Courses".

You still might be able to get a low XXX on it tho if you email a bunch of end users. Tho we have acquired far better education domains for low XXXX mark.

James I understand what end users are, but how would I go about finding users that would suit the domain?

@James - I have found a few prospects through Google search 5+ page onwards.

How would I approach them in a non-spammy and positive way? Personalised email? Do I contact them over the phone or start with an email then phone them?

(Very new at this, most of the domains I've sold are through Flippa and buyers contacting me)

Just look at who is bidding on the exact match term and then send them an email, contact via linkedin or Phone. To be honest I can not see a large player buying them you are probably better going after a SME in that space for is very finance focused.
