As a lot of "old hands" on here know, I used to like to write about everything to do with domaining - most particularly here in Australia.

In fact, one of the most read posts here on DNT was this oldie: https://www.dntrade.com.au/threads/selling-to-endusers-part-1.3683/ (Please don't ask me for Part 2)!

But I've been quite slack in recent times.

I acquired Domainer.com.au a couple of years ago from Fairfax Media - and finally I have got around to utilising it and did my first real post yesterday. http://www.domainer.com.au/general/some-real-estate-agents-really-get-it/

The site is obviously a work in progress so it's not "pretty" as yet. If anyone has constructive comments as to how I can improve the look and features of the blog, I would be very appreciative.

Re Google ads - not my choice. My son knocked up the site for me, and by default put the Google ads in. It will be changed shortly.

Domains have nothing like the liquidity of property, let alone property in Vaucluse.

The typical premium names take 100 years for someone "to want to live in it", the name would have to absolutely exceptional for the above to really be anywhere near how things really are. For example if you put up a house for sale at auction in Toorak you'll get numerous people bidding around the "enduser" price. Put a domain up for auction, even a very high quality domain, and you'll likely get zero people bidding at that enduser price. The people bidding be resellers paying a faction of what an "owner occupier" might pay.
