Hi,
Please apprise this domain: New-York.link
I have a bunch: New-York.link + N-Y.link.
Have regged this New-York today :D

Here I described some arguments in my opinion show .LINK could have good potential https://www.namepros.com/threads/link-sales-report.830217/
Generally I'm no fan of the new TLDs but .LINK is one of the few exceptions. I'm aware a hypen in the domain makes it less valuable for resellers. Still it is good for SEO and easy to remember.

If you constantly have to argue your point to other domainers and use words such as "potential", do you really need us to tell you the current value is $0?

In Europe end users buy somtimes explicitly with a hyphen since it is more clear to read :) Please see this: https://www.namepros.com/threads/another-reported-hyphen-domain-sale.161100/ Hyphen domains also can sell good if the words are good.

Well deleting of this domain I will avoid. If I can not sell it I will use it for SEO. Can use it for landing pages like webdesigner.new-york.link, developer.new-york.link or it.new-york.link. With a litte work this might rank good with search engines and bring me some clients from the Big Apple.

UPDATE:
Haha, all this data and SEO motivated me to get Los-Angeles.link / L-A.link combo too :D

Why did you buy it? Think back to the day you hit the register button.

If you bought it because you thought it was valuable and now you are thinking up something else because it is probably not valuable then that "change of course" is probably a bad idea.

A lot of people think it is a good idea to develop when they realise the name isn't worth anything. It a bit like the guy who goes to the doctor and is told he is fat, then he decides to drink diet coke. It doesn't actually change the situation, it is a form of denial. "I didn't just waste my money". I think a worthless domain should be a last domain a domainer should be developing. The name should be dropped not developed it my view. Admitting the mistake is a way better option, end the loss of time and money right now. Don't spend another 60 seconds on it.

mspecialists i agree with snoopy, i've recently done a "stocktake" of my domains and having been dropping a few, putting the cost of them "down to experience ".

some i have found buyers for, others just not renewed and haven't looked if anyone picked them up or not.

its hard at first, as EGO gets in the road, "surely i didn't make a mistake" but reality is we do make mistakes, so you just have to let them go or they eat away at your wallet.

development: once again i agree with snoopy, its like " lets get married to save our relationship because we fight so much, so lets have a kid as well because that will fix everything" ( this comes from my wedding industry background )

i suggest you read more dnt threads on hypens, tld's, etc

Thanks. Its good advice to save time. But maybe I did not tell enoug about the backgrounds. I have a little IT company. I bought many .LINK domians only to improve SEO and build landingpages to get clients. With new-york.link I could build quite good SEO pages for some very specialized issues for potential clients from New York. The same LA since I also regged Los-Angeles.link . And who knows, maybe a really keen fan wants a domain like "Los-Angeles" for his city one day. .LINK surely is a generic enough domain to fit any purpose.

Be honest with yourself,

So far I have bought some. Maybe my best is notebooks.link. But jet sold none. Since the domain is at start I was interested in the sales. I really think .link will happen to be a big thing.

Well, ok, so we know now You don't like them! Lets return to the thread topic - .link sales report. Any good sales so far?

Lets make a step toward a new experience of internet! Forget .com, its the past. People always want something fresh & hip. .LINK is the new craze!
