My God! Has someone done their ass on 3 letter domains or what? Tomorrow looks to be a field day for those interested

Picked up AMX.com.au on Drop today. Very, very happy - thanks! Didn't see it on Netfleet though?

Today was the first day in a long time that I didn't have one bid on Netfleet. I'm weaning myself off in preparation for October 21st. ;)

The winner of BrisbaneEscorts.net.au must be happy too. (If you can be happy owning a net.au). They got it for $70 on Drop rather than the top bid of $376 on NF.

Don't know about today's high prices, these are not the types of domains I would like to see people making profits from. Well that is my personal opinion. These domains should be in the hands of the right foundations and charity organisations.

I guess we'll see who the bidder is at the end of today. I agree with your sentiments though (as would most people I imagine).

Obviously we can't see Netfleet bidding history as yet :( - but on Drop you can see that there was a FIXED BID placed of $5001. So it hasn't been bidded up to this level.

Yes I have tried to contact the prior owner on Linkedin and via email to let her know about her domains expiring. I believe they have changed the email server from .org.au to .gov.au (does Melbourne IT not even attempt to contact companies when thing like this happen)

Its pointless to make assumptions on the intent of a buyer. I've bought a number of domains previously and have given them (free of charge) to charity. I'm sure a number of people have previously made incorrect assumptions when they see who won.

True I agree, it could be another charity looking to buy the name.

According to an eagle eyed friend (whom I've never known to be wrong!), this domain was listed on Netfleet briefly in the last couple of days. Then it disappeared.

The screen shot below indicates it was listed for auction.

Perhaps - and I am only surmising here - someone offered NF a "Buy It Now" deal? They accepted; but then didn't win it?

Or there could be another more simple explanation.

For the record, OvarianCancer.com.au was picked up by Ben Studzinski for $5,201

Cancer Australia let it expire unfortunately. Lets see what happens. :)

amx.com.au is now back on NF - showing as an auction in 6 days time (click on "all auctions"). It wasn't there earlier.

It has a bid of $11 on it; but if you click on it, it is an expired listing.

Strange and stranger.
