I hope they are paying you well. Last time I cross browser tested I only did it for clients sites. Not too fussed if other sites do not work in browsers I do not regularly use.

I'd run ccleaner over the PC and reset IE in Internet Options.

I'd then try things again.

did all that :( still no glory.

my other 3 laptops no worries, 2 x (XP) and a Vista, ipad. ipad mini, iphone all networked no hassles !!! just my MAIN WIN7 has F'd UP !!!!

i absolutely believe its a "tick box" somewhere but it is shiting me big time.

SOOOOOOOOOOO, please nobody else waste your time on this, i was hoping for the response " ohhh yeh, go here, then here, the deselect that tick" but that hasn't happened, all cool.

if your answer is "turn off/on activeX" then don't post :)

If you have reset IE then I can't think of a "tick box" fix, as resetting IE will set the Advance settings to their defaults.

Weird indeed

Sorry Tim, couldn't resist.

Seriously though, try run System File Checker (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833).

Cheers,
Chris

I'd go to "programs and features" and make sure Microsoft updates are showing up in the programs list. I'd then proceed to uninstall The versions of Internet Explorer ... restart PC and it will go back to the operating systems default IE that shipped with.
Test with the shipped IE, if it works then update IE using Windows updates.
