For those interested, we've created a list of premium (.com) names owned by big corps, which can be viewed here.

We're in the process of putting together one for the .au market. This is what we've come up with so far:

Yeah, that looks like the list I initially worked off. I removed some of them as they've changed hands. Eg. Sunbeam no longer own Kettles.com.au and Toasters.com.au

It's good to see a quality generic being used like this. I did some work for their parent company a few years back and had a tour around their Brisbane office. It's an impressive setup.

Would focus on names that aren't redirects and are well known, eg realestate.com.au, news.com.au, drive.com.au, carsguide.com.au. "Unused" or unpopular sites aren't going to convince in my view.

@Tim - as Lorenzo mentioned, we're trying to build a list of premium domains owned by end users/big corps; which is why OMG have not been included. It can be used as a resource when negotiating domain sales, when pitching to end users.
