Backorder Stats

I tried to place a backorder on a domain today and got the following message:

"This domain has been reserved by our system and if released will be sold via our Snapper auction. You can signup for a FREE Alert and we will email you if the domain is due to be purged."

Netfleet didn't say that a backorder was already in place but that I couldn't backorder that domain because Netfleet would rather try and auction it if it ever comes onto the market.

Are they offering a backorder system or not?

Looks to me as if Netfleet are blocking keywords they would rather see go to auction. Maybe I'm wrong will wait for their response.

Here's is a snippet from a post here..

we have reserved a list of what we have deduced to be premium domains so that they will go to open auction as they are more likely to have broad appeal to domainers. Of course, everyone's idea of premium is different so I’m sure there will continue to be domains like these that do slip through the cracks and good on you if you can take advantage of these.

Regardless of the mechanics - everybody has exactly the same opportunity to backorder domains
