Oh, and I am not a trademark expert, but a quick search shows that there is already a trademark for the term 'rage' for 'online publishing'

are you talking about "rage" , no amount of money would ever get you that ! geez rage the music show has been around for ????? could it be 30years ???

even if they didn't have it trademarked its so well known it should be off limits, that would be like someone trademarking molly meldrum and telling him to change his name !

you missed my point, logic suggests that he should not be able to get it no matter how much money he has, this gets back to many posts i have made on the subject, if you have established a name over many years then a trademark "payment" should not override, precedence should be a MAJOR factor in trademark registration.

based on my limited knowledge even if he got a trademark on "rage" it would be in a certain "class" and that would still not give him a right to rage.com.au

maybe someone more knowledgable could add to this.

my point is not about the ABC's bank account , its about mine, and having someone do this to me would greatly piss me off. "its just not cricket"
