Snapper Filter

I'm not sure if this is possible or not, or if it's been request before, but is there a way to filter domains from the Snapper listings?

I would love a feature where I could automatically remove domains that contain certain things like "numbers", "-" or are .net.au etc

I don't know if it is just me but it seems as if the number of domains getting bids that include the above is increasing and I just have no interest in such domains and I find they make analysing the listings far more difficult.

I wouldn't mind if it was just <5% but it seems as if some days the number of these days that are getting bids is approaching 40% - 50%...

There is a really easy way to get rid of .net.au's from the top of the listings (and to keep our default sorting, just enter ".com.au" in to the search or bookmark this https://www.netfleet.com.au/simple/snapper?s=.com.au.

Our sorting algorithm punishes hyphens and the search volume naturally punishes numbers in the search phrase so this should get you quite close.

Alternatively using the text download link at https://www.netfleet.com.au/index.php?a=expiring&download=1 you can do more advanced research and sorting offline.

I'd be interested to know how the ratio of expiring .net.au to .com.au has changed in the last 5 years if anyone has been keeping tabs on those numbers on a daily basis.

I was more interested in something that allows me to jump on the auction with 30 minutes to go, see the 20 - 50 domains that are getting bids, filter domains I want to disqualify, then see what's left.

Yes but once people start bidding on those items they come back to the top, which is annoying.

Today was a good example 9 of the top 21 domains on Snapper had either a hyphen, number or were .net.au...

I know drop can do it, how come NetFleet can't?

If you wanted to make the filtering system really fancy, like Drop you'd also integrate a price filter, search volume filter, cpc filter, misspelling filter, etc.

Would be easy enough to do if NetFleet Snapper history went further back than 30 days...

;)

That said, I don't know if the "ratio" of .net.au's expiring would have increased too much, but I think people's "willingness" to buy them has increased...

How do I go about excluding numbers and hyphens on drop?

I took a quick look at the % .net.au sold via snapper and the monthly average has been constant at 10 - 15 % for the past 12 months. In the 12 months prior to that it averaged wildly between 7 and 25%. I think the current increase in .net.au is actually an overall increase in the number of domains with bids on them.

Another idea of this filter feature would be filtering our domains with geographical locations.

Ie, names like Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, etc.

So I was browsing the Snapper auction today and almost went to bid on a .net.au which got me thinking about this thread again.

Given it was never explicitlu answered previously, I was just wondering does NetFleet at this point have any intention of creating the auction filter?

Agreed this would be a nice feature to implement, but again I'm afraid there is no update on this as yet. Will keep you posted guys, thanks for patience

I just jumped on the AMA and within a few seconds found myself saying "man I wish the new snapper filter function applied to the AMA listings"...
