The web interface was down, but I didn't realise their backend catcher would have still been running. I would have phoned Mark/David direct and got them to put my 2k bid on texasholdem.com.au! Someone picked it up for $56 so good. I used to own it and sold it to Texas Holdem Pty Ltd about half a decade ago. Was definitely a mistaken drop!

So, Mark/David, shoot me your phone numbers, next time the front end is down I will phone my bids in!

Cherrytron - it is probably a good thing you didnt bid on it, I dont know how you would monetise it considering the restrictions imposed by the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth)

There is so much more poker than just online.

We currently list around 20,000 Texas Holdem Poker events in close to 2,000 venues across Australia on Find Poker.

There are many Poker Leagues with the term Texas Holdem in their name also..

While live poker in Australia may be consolidating to a degree, it's still growing.

Even look at what is happening with http://www.poker.com.au seems to be a live affiliate list. Isnt the rule stopping people from running live poker sites, yet affiliates seem to be fine?? I know sports betting seems to be fair game but.

No both are very much outlawed. Even simple ads for 'interactive gambling' are subject to some very hefty fines. However the authorities don't enforce it...

Regrettably we couldn't add any further bids, manually or otherwise.

We used backed up data which collected bids up to 12pm

Guys I would check out the link I posted, you will see that advertising is prohibited, there are exceptions for stuff like horse racing etc but my view is that Poker is clearly caught by the ban

Online poker is yes. Live venue poker does not fall into this category.

It is very frustrating because the online poker affiliate programs can be quite lucrative.
