Help With Domain Name Value Estimates

Hi,

Rather new to the game but believe I have a few decent names here worth something, any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. The automated valuation tools such as Estibot and Valuate seem to be very unreliable, so thought I would ask some smarter and better educated domainers.

Hi, Do not trust estibot...

Some domains are decent such as financingbusiness.com.au but some are worth reg fee in my opinion such as car insur.com.au (unless you can make something of the domain)

I would also look for global TM's for terms like "itravel" too.

I did the same thing , am negotiating now but they have asked for a formal valuation from SEDO? Is this the norm?

As soon as I read your comment about the valuation I knew this would be the case! No one making a serious offer will request a valuation, so you can always treat those as scam offers.

Regarding your domains, nothing really jumps out as being worth anything, but there are certainly a few worth developing.

Put down the credit card and spend some time researching the market (ie at least several months) as you are badly on the wrong track. With all those reg fees ($400?) probably one decent names could be bought in the aftermarket.

On reflection, probably none of them. I think I was just being polite.

I'm almost certain it'll very little if any type in traffic.

And in my opinion it doesn't have the search volume to justify a minisite development for monetisation.

Given that it's three words I think resale might be tough as well.

maybe I am using the wrong tool?

It is very confusing as I get advice from one domainer saying it probably wont get much type in traffic and then from another I get a "great domain name and will do well" (in another forum)....?

I really do appreciate all the honest advice I get here, but can be confusing sometimes...lol

Seems like it could be valuable to any of the banks or the finance employment agencies? Any thoughts or am I still on the wrong path?
