Do you guys like my new domain name ?
How much would you pay for it ? (not for sale just curious).
..also what do you think of gethits.com.au (also own but curious of what the professionals think)

I figured these are valuable since they are unique, short, detailed & rankworthy if the work is put in. I'll most probably use these for my own seo firm that I will establish as I learn more & more.

SEO King as a term gets really no volume in the Australian market with under 100 searches a month in the US market.

Hard to say a value unless you make a brand out of the domain.

For example I got www.professionalseo.com.au for reg fee at a drop off 4 years, cost gets like 400 searches a month AU + hundreds of long tails...

Yeah it's very hard to find seosydney or seoprofessional etc these days so I thought maybe going against the grain & having a unique name that stands out may be more appealing once it ranks well.

I'm going to try & setup a nice site all night for seoking & market it well. I think offering SEO to clients offline would be great for marketing.

They need to remember SEO king not seoprofessionalsydney etc.

To rank well besides on-page SEO would having related keyword rich domains with great content linking back to seoking or gethits boost it's SEO if I targetted just one keyword like "website seo services"

I think specializing would be more wise than targetting a range of keywords since the domains are not keyword rich.

By the way yes your domain is deffinetly worth heaps.

I Agree with you that domains like "SEO Professional Sydney NSW.com.au" sound poor and probably leave users having problems remembering the name.

But with regards to 2 word domains I think they are fine.

"Professional SEO"
"Sydney SEO"
"SEO.com.au"
"SEO.com"

All easy domain to remember, plus with EMD domain power in the current market it makes your strategy stronger.

I can understand the direction you are going in and it is right, I notice http://www.seoking.com/ is already a decent sized website. See if they have a AU trademark.

the other thing to think about is do your potential customers even know what SEO is... they might after a bit of research but perhaps domains that use simpler terms might work better..

GoogleRankings.com.au sold for $350 on NF a couple of weeks ago which I thought was a great buy (and before anyone says it, I reckon the fact that Google is a TM should be entirely defendable in this case)

Yeah EMD because seo is the first of the two words & some may type in seo king... haha I would :D ..maybe(ish)

Professionalseo.com.au or seoking.com.au if they ranked close I would personally select king, just sounds dominant.

Would you agree that when the site is up with the big boys in rankings it would be valuable i.e 4 figures worth ? Simply curious..

as for TM I checked before I got the Dname :D

David I completely agree that some may not know about seo but because this is a domain I'll be having for a long time I'd imagine people will become aware of the term SEO just like the term Website design as it is equally important to a business so one day when all businesses have websites yet see they don't get customers they'll know what SEO means whether they like it or not ;)

As for googlerankings.com.au I would never buy a domain that has a TM, brand etc in it. It be just like buying Nikeshoes.com.au

I really think this one has greater potential in the short term as everyone knows what hits are, the domain is detailed & straight to the point.

Do you think I should just have packages on the homepage with a PH #, get it ranking well with plugins like headspace2 etc, get big links & sell ?

What would an SEO firm pay for gethits.com.au if it ranked higher than their own niche ?

I'm just so curious as I only just started learning what wordpress was 2 weeks ago however I've been working hard (learning & implementing) almost 15hrs/day.

for example it's 4am right now lol

Goodnight/Morning & any tips, techniques, success paths offered to me would be so appreciated as I'm always keen to learn.

Also I'd like to say that I am actually learning SEO, web design, etc for a purpose of building a health corporation in Australia.

The health corporation is going to be ranked #1 under almost any health issues/treatments/solutions,etc within a few years.

The purpose of the health site will be to advocate genuine health treatment protocols that do not cost a thing. I could explain so much about my vision but I'd rather just say the health industry is corrupt severely & I'm going to change this :)

I believe content is more important than SEO & because content will be my strong point I need to learn everything about my weak point i.e SEO so that it will simply be unbeatable.

It could be worth much more than that if it's ranking however the value is in the website rather than the domain name itself. It is a very nice brandable though so definitely value in that

Getting a bit tired of saying this but with TM's consider the use of the website. Are you being dodgy and trying to mislead the public or are you legitimately using the domain (or planning to).

If it's the latter, then you should be able to defend it. Another way to think about it, is it's akin to the virtual equivalent of publishing a monthly magazine called "Google Rankings" which covers SEO techniques. Should that be allowed?

Too much hysteria over TM's in domains. Use a dose of commonsense, do the right thing by your visitors and you should be right.

Wow I've already learnt so much just from this! I understand completely that the website & the performance is what needs to be sold & the domain is just apart of the sale, though I am only seeking info out of curiosity.

As for domain use it is 110% legitimate & I'm all for helping people & playing by not only legal rules but morale. This is why I said googlerankings.com.au may be bad since it could actually be misleading to some people while not others. I'm still going to stay away but I do understand your justification.

In regards to cooking SEO & adding spices etc haha you're right, as it would deffinetly target people who are somewhat knowledgable about the online system & how things work rather then someone beginning. This may be another reason why the gethits could be great for a large SEO firm willing to pay.

But I think the clear difference is that those sites are using (brand name + Review)
Example with (Holden + Review) & (Supplement + Review) and putting a positive spin on the product you will probably win the litigation.

Yet in the case of Google rankings they would probably sue you because you are trying to profit off their brand and acting as though you are SEO which has been endorsed by Google and has some type of connection with Google.

Sorry I do not agree with this domain.

Sure with risk comes reward, people search for that term you build a business out of it, but then one day big G comes knocking with the tam of lawyers and they kick some ass. Look at Groggle it shows Google will go after any one.
