$22 is not a big investment - particularly if it gives you a say in your future.

Bear in mind, the membership of auDA is not large, so 20 more new members could have a significant effect on the outcome of any voting.

Please make an effort to join this week - and when you've done it, please post your name here. Same applies if you have done so recently.

Reg closes in a few days. AUDA presents your paperwork to the committee who then approves it on the 19th April

They MUST receive a faxed signed copy and full payment also.

Following up this discussion, just wondering how many in here are auDA members?

Not looking to name and shame, but when you look over the list there are some names missing - maybe you have joined recently?

If you haven't joined yet, Erhan & Simon could really use the extra support.. a solitary vote could be the difference.

It seems to add to your voting rights people have realised they can join as companies and also join with another application as an individual ( which would give you more voting rights)

Example Melbourne IT (Supply Member) and Bruce Tonkin - Mebourne IT boss ( Demand Member) http://www.auda.org.au/membership/members-list

Might be an idea here if any forum menbers here have demand class companies, staff ( can join as individuals / demand class) etc they all join up and increase their voting rights also as others have been doing for the minimal $ 22 cost.

I'll be voting when the time comes.

Definitely don't need a domain name if you are applying for "Demand" class membership @ $22.00. Confirmed by auDA.

Good stuff Don. Yes you are 100% right about time for some changes. It was time long ago but others in the know seemed to know how to do the multiple votes and keep their place and win elections to committees etc.

some members of auda are still active against domainers rights and have their own old agenda s of past years. Some members still wanted reg fees to be over $100 and for people to only be allowed 1 domain name still, no monetisation allowed etc ( thank god auda stopped listening to them on these) !

Hopefully some forum members here will run again and we can vote them in next time so real positive change can happen and domainers, monetisation rights recognised and protected fully
