I don't get your questionSpacey.

You mean buying books from Amazon, ebooks from Amazon or creating a site similar to the link you mentioned above?

i am asking if anyone has a site that has sold amazon products, it does not have to be an aussie site , the link above is just an example of an 'astore' of course there are many products that amazon sell

i have been redirecting www.3dtv.tv to bikinis.tv lately but for the effort of setting up an astore it now at least goes to a site containing 3dtvs , although i doubt anyone would actually but a $x,xxx 3dtv online

I tend to think the games section would do better, long story short these examples are perhaps better off being in their current format than just parking

Ah okay, now I get it.

Personally I think just having a small 'product teaser' section on a site, linked to the actual store on Amazon, is better.

From what I've found (I've dealt with Amazon a fair bit and have helped friends get started on it) most people end up clicking on, or finding out the Amazon storefront name and going to that, rather than going through the products on a website that are linked to Amazon with Amazon buttons.

I don't know the official term for it, but something, like 'Single layer comfort', where the user prefers to go straight to the source of information, i.e. going directly to an Amazon storefront to see the products on offer, rather than browsing through a site that has the products for sale linked through to the Amazon storefront.

I did the Amazon thing when I first started out but no longer develop any new sites or update the existing ones.

The problem is that Amazon commision is very small and you're not going to make a lot of money selling books or any other item unless you push a lot of volume. I think it's better to target high priced items because the commission is much higher. Also, Amazon has a solid reputation and people are quite happy to purchase these high priced items online. Review sites that target review keywords work well with this approach.

Still, I think Adsense is better because you get paid for every click and not just when the person orders something.

Ive sold a few hundred things via Amazon affiliate like said above the commissions from it are crap.

Adsense is bad and it pays more...

Go for affiliate marketing product sales...

Got 5 cheques from Amazon infront of me. Don't even bother depositing them...partly because im lazy partly because it costs $15 to deposit an international cheque and they are worth 100-200 each.

Nice paz - that picture reminds me of the scammers who post stuff like "I'm really rich noobs, bet you wish you're like me" on 4chan.

Every 2 months I usually get a cheque for 100-200. But it's from a site where that is about 5% of the income the rest is affiliate links.

But its the only site I used amazon on.

Not trying to be nosy, but do you live off web income paz? I mean you're earning ~$1000-$2000 per month from that site alone

I had an amazon affiliate site setup on a pretty premium domain I once owned.

Although I used http://www.associate-o-matic.com/ It's not free but if you're serious then $99 isn't much.

Demo: http://www.associate-o-matic.com/demo/books/shop.php

I think the astore links you provided look cheap and nasty and I personaly would never buy from a site that looks 2nd rate at best.

I made a few sales but never really put in enough effort with the whole amazon thing.

Better off spending time setting up a proper store than trying to built something around affiliate links with tiny commissions.

Would try some different banks. It has been a long time since I deposited a $USD cheque but have never been charged a fee for doing it.
