NetFleet vs Drop

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I was wondering which domain drop service is 'better'?

By better, I mean, which one gets more of the dropping domains re-registered? I've tried NetFleet's Snapper a few times and never been successful even with the highest bid - the domain simply doesn't get registered.

I'm a member of both sites and from my own experience it looks like the same domains go for a higher price on Drop.

I'm interested to hear other people's opinions when comparing the two.

Well it's a close run thing but.....

Drop is better :)

We used to be competitive but there was a small policy change a few weeks ago which has rendered us pretty much hopeless since.

At a guess, we probably get 1 in 15 of the competitive domains atm...

However we haven't given up so watch this space!

Internal policy you mean?

In hindsight I now wish I didn't pay that high signup fee with NetFleet :(

Drop definitely has the highest (by far) success rate currently but these things can change. I remember one weekend where NetFleet caught most of the sought after domains (luckily I was bidding at both). If it is a domain that you MUST HAVE then you would be foolish to just bid at one place.

The best (and only) drop catching service used to be Domain Watch. "Domain Watch who?" I hear you asking, exactly. They get nothing? these days.

Drop claims to have a 99% success rate last I saw, are you sure on that?

Really? Where is that. Don't think we're that bad!

However if we want to play the success rate game, yesterday we successfully caught 61% (19 of 31 domains) of the domains we went for! (19% today, 38% Tuesday, 21% Monday)

Anyway not making excuses - fact is Drop are kicking our asses at the moment, make no mistake.

Able to elaborate? Sounds interesting!

No.

Bear with us Nova - we'll be back :)

Drop success rate = 100% last 7 days, so those 19 must have been uncontested.

Anyway as you say, I'm sure your working to resolve this.

From their home page "TOP 10 last 7 days (100% caught)", couple of weeks ago it was 99% if I remember rightly.

What were the names caught by Netfleet? Was Drop after them?

For example on logging into drop every name today with a bid was caught, I can't recall a day where they didn't catch every name they were after.

Well I think you answered your own question.

Either party can only offer percentages/stats of domains 'with bids' on their service as they aren't trying to catch ALL.

My understanding would be:

If 10 names on drop got bids and they caught them all = 100%
Netfleet however could have 15 names with bids and would have caught 5.
