Just saw today tonight on 7 and apparently registering someone else's name to block them using it is now a good strategy as it's "A defence" :)

Interesting spin on things, and good to see it not really said in a negative way.

Although the specific story I can't say I agree with their tactic.

Anyway..

Yeah I saw that. Regardless of how successful it was, it was a very dirty tactic. I can't believe they gave them kudos for their so-called defensive action.

Yeah I don't know how they got away with that one as long as they did, was very dirty....

But in the end of the day I guess that is business, you see all types of dirty tactics people use to win business and take down competitors, my boss use to head up online marketing for a huge poker website in Europe, some of the story's you hear about what competitors do it is crazy!!!!!!

Hard to argue it wasn't 'dirty', however it was a brilliant strategic move. The benefits Scoopon received would've far outweighed any negatives arising from the disputed domain.

Those Leibovich brothers know what they are doing... selling a product online every 3 seconds.. wow
