Yahoo! has closed its Australian auction website, sold.com.au, after signing a marketing deal with rival eBay.
Yahoo! bought Sold.com.au from John Fairfax, publisher of The Sydney Morning Herald, for $24 million in 2001.
wow are these current bid prices real? .com.au's obviously havent peaked yet!Im amazed what people are paying

If they can't make it work with all their resources and money no one can
If they can't make it work with all their resources and money no one can
wow what huge stats! Joke!
Visitors to this domain’s website: 100 (previous 31 days)
Thats only 100 unique visitors folks in 30 days! No wonder they dumped the website and are selling the name . If they can't make it work with all their resources and money no one can
Meet the seller
Country of origin: United States
Value added Tax (VAT) status: Not Applicable
some others they have are not bad as .com names.. once again they proved useless to them but
Congrats to whoever bought this..That is a *bargain*.
Sedo has reported the sale of sold.com.au for $15600 USD
As a comparison, I was at a number plate auction a few years back when the Qld plate 'SOLD' went for $25k.
I love plates, but I'd much rather the domain.
That is a cool number plate for an agent, but no agency is going to call their agency "Sold". The numberplate works in that instance, the domain doesn't.
